Mom Slim-Fit High-Waist Ankle Jeans

Really tried to give these less than a 5, but they’re really a solid 5 for me. They’re longer than I’d like but I’m 5’1 so that’s not something I can complain about since I’ll always need to adjust the length. The slim mom jeans are always better than the loose ones. The waist really is tighter compared to the thighs or hips, but I got lucky that this is the fit I wanted. Read all the reviews that said they didn’t like the tightness of the waist, but I do have a smaller waist compared to my thighs and hips so I took the chance. The tag said it’s a comfort stretch fit, but it’s kind of stiff, but not Levi’s-level stiff. I’m really hoping they don’t stretch out since I do like stiffer jeans. My biggest complaint is just that I wish the butt and back areas were smaller or more fitted, but then it wouldn’t be a mom jean anymore lol You’ll like these if you have a smaller waist and want a tight fit there, stiff cotton, and a slim-loose mom jean. If your waist and hips don’t have a much of a difference, your usual size won’t fit you and these will be a complete pass (because then the legs will be even more loose too).

Run small in waist, fits curvy hips. I’m 5’3 123 and I got a size 4, and length is good. That’s why these get 4 stars - it’s hard to find jeans that fit me. These do. If you are little in the middle and curvy on bottom these work. Consider sizing up if between sizes. If you get there too tight they just look like high waist very thick denim skinny jeans. Warning!!. Material also absolutely stinks. I’m. I am NOT sensitive to smells either. The smell doesn’t wash away and the nasty chemical smell will get into any clothes washed or dried with these. Hope I didn’t ruin my other clothes with the noxious plastic smell. Still the jeans look ok I will just wash them separately and spray with lavender water and hope the stench dies down.

I am almost 5’ 4’’, 125 pounds. I typically wear size 4/27 in pants. Highly recommend trying these on in the store. The two pairs I ended up keeping are dark blue, size 4. They fit snug in the waist and relaxed down to the ankles. Length fits great. They do stretch out just a bit during the day but they stay up well without a belt (which is nice while taking care of my three small kids). I originally bought a light wash size 6, but it was too loose in the legs. Some of the 4s in store fit like 2s, some fit like true 4s (like the two pairs I kept). Some of the waists are way too tight, some are just snug. Great jeans for the price as long as you can find the right one- regardless of the labeled size.

I was on the hunt for some mom jeans that didn’t fit too baggy and these were perfect. I bought a size 0 in the blue denim wash and they have a very slim fit. They fall right at the ankle, so I can wear them at regular length or fold them up without them looking too short. The only problem was the waist was slightly loose on me, but I can easily fix that. I wore them out for the first time today and they are very comfortable and easy to move around in, despite the thicker denim. Also, the rise is pretty high as it comes up about an inch and a half above my belly button. For reference, I’m 5’4, about 95lbs, my waist size is 23”, my hips are 32 1/2 in. and I usually wear jeans with a 29 or 30 inseam.

I tried these on in a size 12 in store because that’s all they had, normally I’m an 8/10. I came home and ordered both a size 8 & 10 and ended up keeping the 10. The main reason I kept the 10 was because they were surprisingly about an inch shorter in the length than the 8 which doesn’t really make sense to me. I’m 5’2” 140ish lbs for reference. They weren’t squeezing the life out of me either and I assume they will shrink at least a little in the wash which will be fine either way. I wanted something truly high waisted, ankle length and tapered through the leg. These checked all the boxes for me. They look great with my birk clogs and my platform low top converse which are my two most worn shoes.

So here’s the thing - this is my favorite style of Jean and I have it in about 8+ washes. Every wash has different sizing. I’m a 14-16 and usually a 16 (especially 2022’s run of these jeans) fit nice and snug in the waist. I have a smaller waist but wide hips so this worked for me but I totally see why most people review these saying they run small. I’ve also received 16s that I couldn’t button up of this style. Now to this wash purchased 8/22. They ran huge on me. Like, size 18 huge. I can’t really advise people to size up or size down because it is so dependent on wash. I just wanted to share this review for anyone that is frustrated with the inconsistency in sizing.

Brilliant fit, fine jean fabric, DESIGNED TO BE TOO SHORT IN LENGTH. I know these are called ankle pants--they are what they say they are. I just wish they were at least 2" longer. I did order one size up from the similar twill Mom pants, as previous reviewers have suggested, and am happy. Six in the twill pants, 8 in these, both fit me well at waist (27") and hips (37"). Weirdly, I wanted black, they were out of size 8, zo I ordered the dark grey--but I sure think that what I received are black. I will have to wear these with boots--the short length looks weird to me (5'5", 125 pounds). But I love the rest of the fit so much, I bought them anyhow.

These are definitely a sturdy pair of jeans with minimal stretch (if any)! I love the fit of the high waist. Very flattering. Can be dressed up or down which makes them very versatile too. I’m 5’6, slim built, and usually wear sizes 0 or 2 in H&M pants/jeans so I would say these fit true to size. WARNING: These are very snug in the waist! It wasn’t an issue for me since I usually struggle with a waist that’s rather loose on most pairs of jeans/pants that fit well through my hips/thighs/legs but I definitely DID NOT have a loose waist issue with this pair of jeans. I can wear these with sneakers or heels and they look great!

I didn’t want to write a review until I wore them. Got them pretty fast (was surprised). As soon as I got them I try on and they fit prefect. Not to tight and not huge. Gave me a nice shape. I did size up one size per reviews. It’s has 1 stretch but really does not stretch at all. Which I don’t mind because I am wearing them and they are comfortable. The fabric is a little hard and stiff but not that super thick Jean. I think they are just right. I wear a size 12 in regular jeans and size up to a 14. I love them. After a couple hours they did stretch out a little but nothing huge, they kept the shape and still look amazing.

I bought these a few weeks ago in the lighter medium wash in a size 8 & 10. I ended up keeping the 10 and as much as it doesn’t make sense, the 10 was about 2 inches shorter than the 8 and was just overall more comfortable for me. I ordered the dark grey in a size 8 thinking the length was a fluke with the blue pair. The 8 in dark grey is just a little too snug around my stomach so I just reordered a size 10. I’m hopeful for another fluke with the length and that the 10 will be shorter because the 8 is about 2 inches too long again. If they aren’t shorter, I’ll get them hemmed. I’m 5’2” 140ish lbs.
