For reference, I am 5'7", 40G, XL/XXL in tops depending on fabric, buttons, stretch, structure, and sleeve length (I've got long arms, a short torso, and long legs). I purchased this jacket in a XXL for fear the sleeves would be too short or the jacket wouldn't zip comfortably over my chest. The size to fit ratio is good, and I might've gotten away with an XL given the jacket being oversized. There is more of a bubble hem than I anticipated or wanted, and it hits at the hip for a cropped style which I did want. The color of the jacket (I got the "beige" color which is really a caramel) is really rich, and the jacket is soft and lightweight. The zipper is reliable and hidden by well-made panels that don't flop around. If you were wanting to wear this on a chilly day, you'd need many layers underneath to stay warm. Now, my disappointment lies in this essentially being a track jacket and not the structured jacket I thought it would be. I'll take on that blame for my disappointment; ai may not have read carefully enough before ordering. Track jackets are on trend, so maybe grab it if that's your goal. If you want this more fitted, I'd say it's safe to size down. Otherwise, order your true size. I could see wearing this as a top, too, especially if I sized down to an XL or even a L, for example. I could try to make this work, but I was not in the market for a track jacket. I will likely return for something more structured (I'm probably looking for a suede or brushed canvas, something heavier/more substantial and this jacket is none of those things; I took a shortcut and it didn't pan out). Also, H&M should consider labeling this a track jacket instead for more accuracy and less confusion. Hope this helps!
