Linen-blend Shirt

I like my shirt to skim my body, oversized shirt makes me look top heavy so I’ve started buying size xs in button up shirts from H&M while I still buy size small in everything else. The shirt is true to size, if you want a looser shirt, but if not, just size down like I did and the shoulder seem will still fit properly and the sleeves are long enough to hit in the right spot on the arm without looking too short. The fabric is lovely, it’s the standard linen blend that H&M makes all their items with, it’s a bit stiff at first but softens up when washed, but doesn’t shrink like pure linen tend too. I prefer linen blends like this instead of pure linen which stretches and shrinks easier.

True to size if you want an oversized look, size one down if you don’t. The should seam fits well in one size smaller if you want a more skimming fit and the sleeves are still a good length with one size smaller. I don’t like the oversized look of button down shirts on my frame, it makes me look too heavy so I size down and it’s more flattering for my aesthetic. Fabric doesn’t shrink if washed in normal water temperature, it’s a nice comfortable linen blend, so unlike pure linen, it doesn’t shrink or stretch out easily. The white is a pure white, which I like, many of H&M whites are a cream color but this is more of a pure white.

This is a relaxed fit shirt so i ordered an XS to avoid it swallowing me and it turned out be the right decision since i got a perfect fit. The vent at the back really adds a nice touch. The length falls nicely under the derriere which i'm sure the conservative gals will appreciate. My only reservation with it though is that the fabric is a bit itchy but i'm hoping with a few washes that'll be a non-issue

I ordered a size down base on a couple of reviews that stated that it ran large ( mistake). I always order a size up in linen and linen blend because I like my tops to fit a little loose. For reference, I’m a 44H in bust and have sorta large arms. This shirt was tight across the bust and arms. I wasn’t particularly fun of the material either because it looked cheap. Order your normal size.

I really like the colors and stripe pattern, would have loved to have gotten the matching shorts too. Ordered medium and fit is oversized, not too much, I do have to fold back the cuffs. . I am a 38DD so it’s a hit and miss with shirts that button in the front. Also short, so that adds to the journey! I think a small would have not fit. Nicely made.

I love the detail in the back of this shirt! It was a nice surprise and super cute! I typically wear an extra large but o sized down and I ordered a large and it’s perfect! The cuffs on the sleeves are this nice length, it’s longer than the average cuff which I love bc I push my sleeves up. There’s this slight stretch to this shirt and I love it!!

The fit of this is perfect, but the fabric is slightly itchy but soft. If you have sensitive skin, I’d skip this. I don’t understand why H&M’s linen blend pants are so comfy and soft, but the shirts are itchy? This is the 3rd one I’ve tried. Going to have to find a non linen option

There’s a cute little detail in the back of the shirt, love it! I ordered a large I typically wear an extra large. The matching shorts just set this off! Perfect look for going out to dinner, concert, girls night, running errands, or a BBQ!

It was perfectly oversized until I washed it, it shrunk and became a regular shirt, I like the material though, it's a little bit sheer but looks great, I recommend ordering one size bigger to combat the shrinkage.

I like this shirt a lot. It’s just a bit rough and scratchy. The sleeves are long for me but it still looks very smart. I could’ve sized down and it would probably fit better but I’m going to keep the size I have.
