Washed Linen Robe

This is the 3rd linen robe I've purchased from H&M. The first two were fantastic and I literally wore them until they fell apart, hence my needing a replacement. This one, however, is so different! I didn't try it on before washing it thinking it was the same as the others but nope. The fit is smaller...I measured it and the side panels are about 2" smaller each side. So it doesn't fit nearly as loose and comfy as I like. And the sleeves are longer but that's not a big deal...and I could make the fit work. BUT, the fabric is soooooo scratchy and stiff! The previous ones washed up nicely and were so soft and comfy. This one is horrible! I've washed it 3 times, used fabric softener, dryer balls...everything I can think of to soften it. It's unwearable and now I'm out $50 cuz I can't return it. Booooooo H&M

I purchased this bathrobe (white) in L/XL, as I was afraid it would be too small otherwise. The L/XL is VERY generous but after I washed it, and it shrunk a little...it's fine for what I want it for...but if I was going to do this again, I would start with the S/M, as I believe it would have worked just fine for me. Works as a bathrobe, lounging around the house, pool/spa cover up etc As with all things linen, if you don't like the wrinkles...be prepared to iron it. It does iron up beautifully tho!

I wanted to like this, but alas the robe in white color is completely see-through. I saw them at the store after purchased it too, but it seems like white is the only one that seems to be the problem. It felt thinner than other colors when I touched them. I don’t think other colors have that issue, but I wanted to wear a white robe. Size also seems to run large, but that wasn’t much of an issue for me. I just can’t be wearing a bra inside a robe just to hide my nips! This is going back.

I have had the gray in S/M for a few years and it’s held up well with daily wearing. It’s starting to show some wear, and I felt it might be too small as it won’t stay closed. I just ordered the beige in L/XL, and it’s too big for my 5’ 2” frame. I wish these came in XS/S, M, then L/XL. This robe does wrinkle being linen, but that doesn’t bother me. I love the natural fabric as I run hot, this is breathable. Washes well and gets softer over time. Debating on keeping or returning :0/.

Love love love. Originally I purchased a Belgian Flax Linen Robe from another company for over twice the price. I returned it because it was very poor quality. When I found this linen robe from H & M, I ordered it but had low expectations. It arrived yesterday and I LOVE it. Soft not scratchy, a beautiful gray color, it’s perfect. And the price is very good. My experience with H & M 100% linen has been great, the duvet, the robe, the kids clothes, all very nice. Thank you H & M!

This robe is beautiful! The fabric is a thin linen, exactly what I was looking for to wear as a housecoat. I am 5'4", 140ish lbs normally, but currently 152 at 6.5 months pregnant and this robe fits amazingly well. Very nice and loose fitting, will easily fit til the end of my pregnancy and then hopefully be super comfy postpartum! It is technically oversized with the way it fits, but I expected that as it is unisex and will be rating the size and fit accordingly.

I wish there were more sizes offered (specifically, XS/S) but I suppose a robe is not meant to be fitted anyway so in the end size S/M is not too long nor too big for someone around my height (5’3). The only thing that actually does give away the fact that this is not necessarily meant for someone petite is the placement of the pockets which does feel a couple of inches too low. The sleeves are a perfect length though! All in all, very happy with this purchase!

Nice bathrobe, but it runs smaller than I thought. I wanted it to be really oversized and slouchy in terms of fit, and it is not. I’m a size 10 and purchased the S/M. It fits just fine - I can fully close it, but it’s a slimmer fit and I don’t get the very loose slouchy fit I’m looking for. I wish I had gone with the M/L size! Also, thought it would be longer - close to ankle length - but it’s about mid calf.

Purchased this robe for my son. He loves it. Says it’s perfect for stepping out of the shower and going to his room with out having to manage a towel around himself. He is 6’3” & slender and the robe is long enough hitting just above his knees. Fabric is nice and on the lighter side weight wise. We ordered the Gray. We are big fans of linen and this fit the need perfectly without breaking the budget!

Beautiful material!! Light & airy. Had to return as it was too big. This robe is more of a men’s fit…belt & pockets sit lower on the waist; it’s a boxier cut. The linen is really good quality though! I’m going to try ordering in the smaller size. They should definitely make this robe but a bit more fitted & a little longer AND in some other colours (ie. like the “muslin” robes they sell).
