Midi Skirt

I've been searching for a skirt like this and am happy to have find this, however.... The price does not reflect the quality. Elastic band waste is poor quality. Keeps unrolling when wearing. Not lined. When will companies start lining their merchandise? Oh, save their money.... Maybe H&M can start selling slips to wear under their clothes??? I have slips. I can sew, so I'll tack the waistband down, buy it's still overpriced. Received a medium, 5'6, 30" waist, 145lbs.

I ordered the linen blend option and it’s VERY poor quality. It feels like it should be priced at $20. In fact, it’s made of the exact same material as the linen-blend pull on pants, which are priced at $20. The fabric is thin and cheap and the elastic waistband is only sewn down by a few stitches on the sides. I’m 5’7.5” and it hits me about mid-shin. I ordered my usual small and it fits well. It’s very cute, so I haven’t decided if I’m keeping it yet.

Mixed feeling cuz when it’s freshly steamed and put on it’s beautiful. But it wrinkles like crazy within a few hours and it also moves around while you’re wearing it. I had to constantly recenter the seams while I was out because it moves around on your body. Would need a size smaller to make it snug enough to not move but then it would fit weird. It was so embarrassing to have wrinkles on this skirt in public and I only wore it for 3 hours.

I bought this skirt in white and black and they are soooo pretty except they’re way too long, I’m 5’4 and a half for reference. It might be better if it fit around my waist, but I have a 23 inch waist, and this falls on my hips. They’re also too fancy, can’t wear with sneakers/casually. If you wore these with a fancy top, they could be for a formal event/ wedding/ ball. Not a casual satin skirt! I’m very sad to return just pretty items.

I actually exchanged this skirt for a medium, the sizing is a bit different I feel black always has a tighter fit! in the champagne color I could get away w a medium & it fits me flowy all around! for my height / size, (I’m 4’11 & wear sizes S-L depending on materials) it’s a perfect length & fit, I do have to wear it almost as if it was high waisted just so it isn’t too long, but I don’t mind it!

I wore this for an evening event with a tuxedo blazer and heels and got lots of compliments. I have also worn it casually with a sweater. So far, it's a great skirt. However, it does wrinkle easily. I have not washed it yet, and I hope it will withstand with little maintenance. But it served its purpose at a low price. It runs true to size. I am 5'5", and the hem hit just above my ankles.

This is not a maxi skirt. The model is shown wearing a small and is more lengthy in build than I am, the skirt hits below her ankle. I ordered a small, for reference I am 5’ 3 with a petite build and the skirt fell above my ankle. The skirt is sitting on my hip and still does not look maxi whatsoever. This skirt is more midi than maxi. I’m disappointed. The title and photo is misleading.

Way TOO SHORT. This is several inches shorter than expected for XL. I own several other H&M long skirts in XL that are floor length on a person of 5’ 9.” Color is good, drape is ok. Elastic waist is good. Given that it is way too short, the hoped-for elegant/flowy look cannot be achieved. With the material being thin, it just looks like a slip. Disappointing.

I actually ended up exchanging the skirt for a L instead, this is the first satin skirt I’ve found that fit me perfectly, not tight but also not too flowy! I have many skirts that accentuate my curves, I wanted a satin skirt that went down to my ankles & is flowy all around, even from my hips / butt. Definitely recommend this skirt! For reference I’m 4’11!

The skirt is cut well and based on other reviews I purchased size small. If you would like a roomier look, go one size up. I could fit well in a small and a medium in the linen fabric, as this is the style I chose for this skirt. The fabric is not too thick, rather thin, but most people like that for a hot weather. I am keeping the skirt.
