Great for more fine / medium hair. Coarse hair should be fine if you’re only doing a half up half down style! Plastic material so don’t be heavy handed with this - but once it’s secured… IT’S SECURED! It keeps every hair intact!! I have medium waxy 2B hair, shoulder length, and it was able to keep ALL my hair up into a french twist all day!

Great for quick french twist hairstyles! I have hair up to my shoulders, if you have longer thicker hair, it will break! Plastic and probably would be could for a half up style
