DESIGN & STYLE: I have been looking for a great eyelet shirt dress, as my previous fav eyelet shirt dress was well loved (& worn) and needed to be replaced. When I saw this one, I knew I had to order it, but was less than excited about the price, which felt high for H&M. I waited for one of the sales, and purchased it in both black and blue. I wish there were more colors to order, as this is a great style which is perfect for spring and summer. I also love that it is lined to the collar, as many shirt dresses include what is essentially a spaghetti strap slip inside, which I end up taking out and having to figure out whether I want to bring it to a seamstress to line at additional expense, or whether I will just layer garments underneath. This dress solves those issues with the perfectly placed lining. FIT: I fluctuate between two sizes at H&M depending on the item and its fit. I ordered this in the larger of the two sizes, which is what I have been ordering with success lately. However, this dress must be cut quite large as there was so much excess fabric, I needed one size smaller. I possibly could have gone two sizes but due to the mid calf length, didn't want it too fitted.
