The size chart indicates that size 13–14Y should have a 34½–35½" low hip measurement. My daughter’s hip measurement is almost 35" at the fullest part, which would normally place her within the recommended size range. Typically, clothing size charts are based on body measurements, with the garment designed to provide some additional room for comfortable wear. However, the actual pants measure approximately 16" across when laid flat, which is about a 32" hip circumference. The fabric is stretchy and easily expands, and it feels lightweight, which seems comfortable. However, even with the stretch, the garment is significantly smaller than the measurements indicated in the size chart and does not fit my daughter properly.
